Hair research workers have found and developed modern methods to style the hair. Different techniques for various hair kinds are researched.
African American has black hair and also the hair is curly textured one. In history, black women with curly hair did not earn that much respect in comparison to the black females of today. Black women were disliked if they go out in the public while wearing their hair naturally. They were being taunted by white citizens and it was supposed that they wouldn't find a husband or even a job. It was a perception that in order for black women to become beautiful they must wear their hair straight. The idea, on the other hand, has changed through the years and the black female of today can wear her hair in any technique she prefers to stand out and be stylish. Black hair styles have progressed and developed through ways which are from a standard method to some more sophisticated one that promotes not only a healthier hair but in addition longer ones. Black hair care products were invented to make styling a bit more doable. As a product, longer and better hair is achieved.

The analysis of the hair condition is significant for the treatment process that may be performed. The hair care goal has to be to possess a manageable and healthy hair and you will find hair care products that promote the achievement of this hair care goals. A traditional procedure in styling hair is rarely enough. Easy Ways to Eliminate Eye Bags

Author: Janet Martin

Hollywood is the home of many glamorous movie stars whom we often remember for their good looks and unique features. But as far as I know, none has been immortalized for eye bags except Peter Lorre.

Today’s generation of moviegoers may no longer remember Lorre but the Hungarian actor and director portrayed many memorable characters at the height of his career. Aside from being cast as a sinister and wicked person in Hollywood crime films and mysteries, the late great actor is also fondly remembered as the Japanese detective Mr. Moto and the first James Bond villain in the first Bond movie Casino Royale.

What set Lorre apart from other actors were his unforgettable voice, look, and mannerisms. One of his striking features were his eye bags that became his “signature” mark when animators later emulated and did impressions of Lorre in various cartoons like Ren and Stimpy, Secret Squirrel, Stingray, and Digimon. It was a classic case of art imitating life as the characters in those short films had big eyes and equally big eye bags – much like Lorre’s!

Unfortunately, not everyone with eye bags ends up as a famous or celebrated actor like Lorre. For most people, eye bags, puffy eyes, and dark circles under the eyes are bothersome cosmetic problems that look terrible and make you look older than you really are. These problems are often associated with allergies, aging, fluid retention, too much salt or alcohol, excessive crying, smoking, pregnancy, menstruation, and lack of sleep.

“There isn't room for fatty layers around the eye sockets because this would get in the way of our ability to move our eyes and see. So skin around the eyes is thin and gets thinner with age - allowing the blood vessels and darker shadows of bone to show through,” according to Dr. Trisha Macnair of BBC Health.

“The most common cause of those dark bluish circles under the eyes is congestion around the nose. You see the veins around the underside of the eyes drain into the veins of the nose. When your nose becomes congested or is blocked up, those veins become restricted and the flow of blood is reduced. This causes the flow of blood under the eyes to slow. The veins under the eyes become engorged causing them to swell larger and appear darker,” added the AskDocWeb.com.

While they aren’t serious medical problems and often clear up on their own even without any treatment, eye bags, puffy eyes, and dark circles can be embarrassing and annoying. Besides, who wants to wait until forever for them to disappear completely when you’re attending that big party with all your friends tomorrow?

To look good, get enough rest, drink enough water, stop smoking, and avoid allergens that trigger nasal congestion like pet dander, pollen, house dust, and certain foods like milk and chocolate. Use an extra pillow or two to elevate your head while sleeping to prevent fluid build up. Reduce your salt intake and be wary of food and drinks that contain too much salt.

Cool cucumber or potato slices placed over closed eyes for a few minutes can also help. If you’d rather eat the cucumber or potato, another alternative is cotton balls dunked in cold milk. After squeezing the milk from the balls, let them rest on your closed swollen eyes for a few minutes. A cold compress will also do the same.

One popular product that can revitalize your eyes is Eyevive. When used as directed, Eyevive moisturizes, strengthens, and thickens the skin around the eyes to help reverse the signs of aging that can lead to eye bags, dark circles, swollen eyes, fines lines and wrinkles. Put back the sparkle in your eyes with Eyevive. For more information, visit http://www.eyevive.com.

Cool Tricks on De-puffing Your Eye Bags

After crying a river of tears, having too much booze the night before, or spending little time for sleep, you may find yourself with red puffy eyes. Although you can cover your eye bags with a cool pair of sunglasses, you still have to deal with your eye problem when you have to remove your shades. What's more, bags under the eyes are usually accompanied by other problems such as dark circles or extreme redness.

Puffy eyes usually last for hours or a couple of days. If you are not going anywhere, it is actually good for you to just let nature determine when your poofed-up eyes are going to deflate. However, if you have an important meeting, a date, or you are going to attend a special occasion, having eye bag woes can really be annoying. Here are some tricks on how you can de-puff your eye bags in a jiffy:

Prevention Is Best

Some people are prone to eye bags, while others are not. If you are one of the individuals who seem to be prone to having swollen eyes, then you should stay away from things that are causing your eyes to puff.
If you have an important date, you should remember to sleep well the night before. Also, make sure that you don't go on an alcohol spree, which may be responsible for fluid retention. Getting easy with salty foods may also be a good idea because like alcohol, too much salt can also make you retain much water.

Simple Eye Massage

If you were not able to prevent your eyes from becoming swollen, then do not despair. There are plenty of things you can do, such as performing eye massage to help reduce inflammation.

Using your ring finger, simply massage your eye area in circular motion, starting from your nasal sinuses then to the cheeks. Make sure that you slightly push the skin upwards so as not to cause wrinkles. Repeat the massage for about five times on each eye. Gently massaging the area will help flush out pooled fluid faster.

Soothe Your Eyes With A Cool Eye Mask

Placing a chilled eye mask (choose the one without holes for more coverage) on your eyes for 10 to 15 minutes will help soothe your eyes. Moreover, your blood vessels will constrict or tighten due to the cold temperature. This will help facilitate draining of fluid located beneath the skin under your eyes. If you do not have a plastic eye mask, you can use chilled cucumbers or used teabags.

Stay Away From Hot Beverages

If you have swollen eyes, it would be best for you to drink plenty of cold water or other cold beverages. As mentioned earlier, the cool temperature encourages blood vessels to constrict, which will help in promoting better fluid drainage. Basically, the bags under your eyes are simply water or fluid that was not properly flushed out of your system.

Say No To Exfoliation

It would be best for you to skip using products that have ingredients such as salicylic acid, alpha hydroxy acid, and retinoids. These ingredients could irritate your skin and make swelling much worse.

Skip The Eyeliner

If you still have eye bags even after you performed the tricks above, then you need to skip eyeliner for the day. This makeup is used to enhance the shape of the eyes so if you have swollen eyes, the eyeliner will only highlight the flaw. Instead, use an eye shadow that is of the same shade of your upper eyelid to mask the swelling. You can also sweep the same color just beneath your lower lashes to help cover the flaw.

Since puffy eyes are usually accompanied by other eye problems, such as dark circles, crow's feet and wrinkles, you should use natural and high-quality eye creams. One eye product that could help reduce fine lines and skin discoloration around the eyes is Eyevive. For more details, visit http://www.eyevive.com/.

Large Pores Treatment

Author: peterhutch

Large pores are simply a genetic problem. Large pores are often an indication of oily skin. Large pores (sometimes referred to as enlarged pores) are likewise more common in the T-zone and occur most often on those with oily skin. Though not always, large pores and blackheads tend to go hand in hand. Blackheads and large pores usually come together. This is because the pores are larger, so oil and dead skin sits inside of them. This becomes a blackhead and stretches the pore even larger.

If enlarged pores are due to blackheads stretching the entrance of the pore, then firstly remove blackheads using one of the above methods, then to contract pores, blend (one or your preferred mixture) of camphor, sage and / or thyme in a base of jojoba oil. Use as a compress or mix in with your moisturiser and apply to affected areas. Jojoba is easily absorbed into the skin and balances oil levels (which may assist in reducing blackheads as sebum production is regulated).

Oatmeal and gram flour are good toning substance. You can add a little lemon juice, rose water and curd to them and apply on the skin. Wash this pack off when it dries. It tones the pores and enhances the complexion.

Honey is equally good to tone up the pores and reduce the oiliness from the skin. It can be applied in any of the facemask or can be directly applied on the skin with a little lemon juice and sugar to it. You can massage it on face and leave it for few minutes. Then rinse it off with lukewarm water. Honey added to milk powder too helps if applied on the skin. A paste made of salt and butter is helpful in reducing pore size if applied on them.

Add tomato juice to calamine powder or sandalwood powder, as they help in reducing the size of the pores and even tone up the skin well. These packs help skin to reduce the sebum production and thus help in reducing the size of the pores.

Boire strips help with blackhead removal, so if you have blackheads, use them. They are effective. Also, scrub your face regularly to prevent your pores from getting clogged. Make sure you use a scrub that suits you, because certain scrubs can cause a rash.

Egg skin is a pore-shrinker that also helps bring skin eruptions to a head. Break an egg, reserve its contents for other use, and then carefully remove the membrane from the inside of the shell. Smooth this egg skin over the enlarged pores; let dry before peeling off.

Sunburn is better prevented than treated. Effective sunscreens are available in a wide variety of strengths. Most doctors recommend a sunscreen SPF level of 30 or greater.

Large pores are simply a genetic problem, but you can temporarily reduce large pores by clearing away dirt and debris. Large pores are often an indication of oily skin. Use one after the other for cleansing and exfoliating the skin. Mix 2 egg whites with a few drops of lemon juice. Apply on face and leave on for 5-7 minutes, then rinse with hands. As egg whites dry, they lighten the skin and pull debris out of pores.

Mix almond meal with enough water to make a paste. Apply to pores for 20 minutes. Rinse with warm water, and then apply witch hazel or a solution of apple cider vinegar and water.
How Can I Get Rid of My Scars?

Author: Nick Mutt

There might be the case when you ask your friends on how to get rid of scars. Let’s know what this article exactly talks about and what the scars are? When there is an injury, our skin automatically produces more cells in order to re-grow the injured skin. This tissue is known as scars. These scars are easily visible because the cells that grow in making up the scars are of lesser quality than the original cells. They are less resistant to UV radiation and are not able to grow any hair since they have no follicles.

When we look for the questions likes ‘how can I get rid of my scars’ or ‘how can I remove my scars’, we should be well familiar with the fact that scars can never be completely healed. There are a number of medical and cosmetic methods to cover up scars, but none of them can claim to remove them completely.

There are many natural and herbal treatments to remove scars. These herbal methods are safe, simple and cost effective. These methods are generally simple home treatments, and they have no harmful effects. You can try these methods before going in for complicated surgical procedures.

Herbal remedies to remove scars

There are several natural and herbal remedies to prevent and treat scars by opening the kitchen cabinet. These herbal methods are inexpensive and safe to use.

- Cucumber - The cucumber is very helpful in the removal of scar tissues. Prepare a paste of cucumber and apply directly onto the scars. This will help the scars to smoothen out after a few applications left overnight.

- Indian Gooseberry - The Indian gooseberry (amalaki) is very beneficial in the prevention of scars after healing. Gooseberry is a good source of vitamin C, which is very essential for cementing the open wounds.

- Garlic - Cut a clove of garlic into half and rub it on the acne scars. This helps to treat the acne without leaving a scar behind later on.

- Aloe Vera - Aloe Vera is also an effective herbal remedy for the treatment of residual scars. Its juice acts as natural bleach. When applied directly onto the scars it helps the scar to slowly reduce and vanish.
Ways to Treat Skin Abscess

Author: peterhutch

Doctor needs to cut and clean the abscess area. Cleaning the pus might reduce the chance of infection. The ultimate goal of the treatment is to cure the skin abscess. Doctors give specific medication in forms of antibiotics and regular cleaning of the affected skin. Heat packs in various ways help in reducing the swelling and pain of the affected area. One can prevent from this problem by proper cleaning of it. Using antibiotic lotions and medicated soaps is quite helpful.

Small abscesses may be helped by applying warm compresses to the area several times a day. This will sometimes promote spontaneous drainage of the abscess. The goal of treatment is to cure the infection. The doctor may cut and drain the abscess to clean the area and control the infection. Antibiotics are given to control the infection.

Heat (such as warm compresses) may speed healing, reduce inflammation, and make the area feel better. Raise the affected part to reduce swelling and inflammation. Most skin abscesses can be cured with proper treatment. A doctor treats an abscess by cutting it open and draining the pus. After draining the abscess, a doctor makes sure all of the pus has been removed by washing out the pocket with a sterile salt solution. Sometimes the drained abscess is packed with gauze, which is removed 24 to 48 hours later. If the abscess is completely drained, antibiotics usually are not needed. However, if the infection has spread or if the abscess is on the middle or upper part of the face, antibiotics that kill staphylococci, such as dicloxacillin and cephalexin, may be used because of the high risk that the infection will spread to the brain.

Hepar sulphuris and Silica are homeopathic remedies to treat the skin abscesses. Applying a warm compress or soaking the boil in warm water can help alleviate the pain.

Whenever a boil is noticed, start the treatment at home. Initially, apply heat with the aid of hot packs and hot soaks. Due to the heat, blood circulation in the area increases. More white blood cells and antibodies are dispatched to the region of infection. This enables the body to combat the infection better naturally. When the skin abscess is tiny and firm, opening and draining it will not prove useful. Only, when the boil forms a head, it must be inferred that the time is apt to drain it. Smaller boils drain on their own. For larger boils, approach a healthcare practitioner to lance it.

Identifying and avoiding the potential irritants, which can mainly result in contact dermatitis, could be quite helpful for you to reduce the irritation of your skin.

If you have a fever or long-term illness, such as cancer or diabetes, or are taking medications that suppress the immune system, you should contact your health-care practitioner if you develop a boil (abscess).

Urea Cream is often recommended for treating Keratosis pilaris. However, before you use urea creams, think about this. Nitrogen, which is a waste product of protein metabolism in humans, is removed from the blood and converted to urea. Urea is transferred into the urine and removed from the body. Medically it is used in creams, supposedly, to restore moisture. There are more natural and healthier alternatives for moisturizing the skin such as Vitamin E oil, borage oil, and a many others; why use a toxic waste byproduct to do the job.
Premature Aging Skin::What are the Signs of Premature Aging Skin?

Some of the signs of premature aging skin are: uneven skin tone, fine lines, dry skin and skin roughness. The sun is one of the usual reasons for aging skin. More reasons are in this article and also How to Prevent Premature Aging Skin.

**Illness

Most of the illnesses that result in premature or accelerated aging are genetic and/or due to defective DNA repair. Hutchinson-Gilford, Werner's syndrome, DKC, Cockayne's syndrome, xeroderma pigmentosa (XP) and wrinkly skin syndrome are some of the conditions responsible. All are rare. Only a few are inherited. They are often accompanied by rare forms of cancer.

**Nutritional Deficiencies

A lack of any essential nutrient will cause visible symptoms including cracking, sagging, wrinkling, dryness and many others. Nutritional deficiencies were considered rare in industrialized societies. But recent physician reports have shown an increase in certain deficiencies, such as vitamin D deficiency. The lack of vitamin D is not low enough to cause scurvy, but it may be low enough to increase a person's risk of heart disease.

The body needs antioxidants in order to repair damaged DNA strands and prevent cellular aging. The visible signs of premature aging skin may occur after years of tiny bits of cellular damage caused by a chronic lack of antioxidants in the diet.

**Exposure to Toxins

Cigarette smoke is actually toxic. Other toxins that can negatively affect the skin's appearance include other forms of smoke, air pollution, mercury, lead and asbestos, bromine, chlorine, formaldehyde and UV radiation.

One would usually be aware of exposure to the chemical toxins, as they would cause other symptoms. We are exposed to small amounts of UV radiation on a regular basis, because it is a component of sunlight. Not all exposure to UV is toxic unless a person has one of the illnesses mentioned above.

**Stress

Some fine lines are obviously related to stress. We often refer to them as worry lines. Exactly how stress causes wrinkles and similar problems is unknown. Scientists believe it has to do with antioxidant depletion and free radical damage.

**Petrolatum

Ironically, petrolatum is often recommended to correct roughness or relieve excessive dryness. It is found in most body lotions, face creams and other skincare products. The mainstream medical community might not agree, but some dermatologists believe that regular use of products containing large amounts of petrolatum will cause premature aging of the skin.

**Overexposure to Sunlight

Overexposure to sunlight causes uneven skin tone by stimulating the production of the pigment melanin. Repeated exposure seems to cause the melanin-producing cells beneath the skin's surface to misfire. So instead of an even "sun-tan", spots and blotches appear. This is particularly common with age.

The sun's UV rays cause fine lines by damaging the skin's collagen fibers and the mother cells responsible for producing and replacing the skin's outer layers. This leads to lost elasticity and the production of imperfect cellular copies.

Overexposure to sunlight causes roughness, because it is drying. It typically takes repeated exposure to cause roughness or excessive dryness, but severe sunburns can cause scars to form, which will feel rough. The burns can also cause uneven skin tone.

**What to Do

If you are just starting to see some fine lines, an uneven skin tone or other signs of premature aging skin, don't worry. There are ways to reverse the process and prevent further damage from occurring. You'll learn about that in my next article.

**Now, all you need to know is how to correct the problem. The next article will deal with How to Prevent Premature Aging Skin. See link for article in the author-resource box below. The solution is simple, safe and not difficult to do.

Best Eye Cream For Wrinkles – What Is It Composed Of?

Author: Caroline Page

People who are conscious about how they look as they age are continually seeking the best eye cream for wrinkles especially those who are vain. You look is considered one of the most important asset for a human being because it is the first thing that people look at. The skin on the face is the most vulnerable part of the body because people hardly cover their faces. It is exposed to a lot of things like the wind, rain, heat, dust, and many other environmental factors. The two types of wrinkles are the ones under the eyes and the other are the one that forms around the eye is what people call Crow's feet.

Causes of Wrinkles
The number one cause of wrinkles is the process of ageing. The skin is smooth and tight at a young age then as we age and get exposed to different environmental conditions and cosmetics as a result the skin loosens and causes wrinkles. Normal facial expressions like smiling and squinting will cause the skin around the eyes to form lines that later on become very visible. Harmful UV rays from the sun causes the skin to lose too much moisture. Smoking also is a culprit for wrinkles. Other environmental factors like air pollution speed up the process or ageing because it produces oxygen-free radicals which is said to reduce the most important anti oxidant for the skin which is Vitamin E.

The Ingredients
The best eye cream for wrinkles should contain the best quality ingredients there is in the market to replenish any lost vitamins and nutrients in the skin. Though synthetic ingredients can do wonders it is still advisable to search for those eye creams that have more natural ingredients from plant extracts like plant oils, marigold, manuka honey beeswax, carrot extract and most importantly Vitamin E, kojic Acid, licorice extract, Vitamin K, rose hip extract to replenish the skin in the most natural manner possible. Ingredients that super hydrate the skin like Hyaluronic acid is highly recommended. Dark circles, eye bags, and of course fine lines and wrinkles can be treated with peptides such as Palmitoyl Oligopeptide and Acetyl Hexapeptide-8 which is known to reduce wrinkles to an astonishing 45% at the least. To run it down into the most basic level always choose an eye cream that has ingredients that boosts collagen production such as sesaflash, matrixyl, organic essential oils.

Always remember to consult you dermatologist before actually trying to apply any eye creams. It will help you to avoid any allergic reactions in case you have any. A note for the wise is that not all top notched products in customer reviews are really the best. you will always have to consider your skin type and allergens also type of weather you are exposed to everyday in order to be able to have the best eye cream for wrinkles.

Beauty Do's & Dont's

Author: Cactuslover

Trends come and trends go and this season you don't want to be caught in public looking like last year. While it's cool to follow some trends, there are some timeless beauty rules that will get you through every season looking classy, no matter what coast you live on.
Beauty Do #1:
Goodbye Helmet Head No matter the trends, the less done your hair looks, the fresher you'll look. If you curl your hair, brush out the curls ala '50s pinups. If you opt for a bun on the back of the head, set it at the nape of the neck and let it get messy. If you're off to a formal event, spend more time on your makeup and accessories and leave hair loose and sexy. Remember: Fancy, hair-sprayed 'dos are terribly matronly and best left to your grandmother's set.
Beauty Do #2:
Contrasting eyes and mouth Play up your eyes or your mouth, never both or you risk looking like a clown. Nude lips and smokey eyes are a great look. Or try red lips and light eyes.
Beauty Do #3:
Apply sunscreen every day no matter the weather You've heard this preached enough, but it's true. If you get into the habit of sunscreen application daily, you will thank yourself when you're older and relatively lineless. Can't bother with too many lotions and potions? Consider a tinted moisturizer with an SPF of at least 15. If you can't stand looking pale, brush on a bronzer. At least it doesn't smell like fake tanners.
Beauty Do #4:
Layer fragrances and lipsticksSophisticated women know how to properly layer fragrances to create their own signature blends. How to do it? Take your favorite scent and layer a new one atop it. Try out several versions until you find your favorite blend. You can do the same with lipsticks. Create your own shades with mattes and glosses. If you don't like a shade, don't throw it out, perfect one with other colors in your beauty drawer.
Beauty Do #5:
Moisturize after every shower Skin left unmoisturized will itch, and itching (especially done when you're not paying complete attention) can cause scabs, which in turn can scar. In the shower, make sure you exfoliate your body thoroughly with a loofah.

Beauty Don't #1:
Neglecting Your Neck When you take care of your face, don't stop at the chin: The skin on your neck can be thinner and more sensitive than the skin on your face and just as prone to changes in pigment, elasticity, and texture―and, yes, to wrinkles. When applying sunscreen to your face, keep going, covering your neck and even your chest.
Beauty Don't #2:
Creating a foundation mask "Choosing the right foundation is really critical, because if you make a mistake there, everything else is thrown off balance," says makeup artist Sue Devitt. "So choosing the right shade and the right formulation, making sure that you look for something that gives you perfectly flawless skin -- critical."Visit a cosmetics counter, where an expert can show you the best formula for your skin type and lifestyle. For example, stick foundations may be great for your purse, but they also tend to be oilier. Also, try to use the sheerest formula possible. "The whole goal of foundation is to make your skin look like skin," says Stila creator Jeanine Lobell.
Beauty Don't #3:
Scaly anythingKeep your complexion fresh and vibrant all year long by exfoliating your face weekly. Your body needs exfoliating as well, so invest in scrubs in your bathtub or shower. (We also recommend showering with exfoliating gloves). A quick pumicing on the soles of your feet during every shower will keep feet soft between pedicures. As for lips, try this Vaseline tip to keep lips from excessive scaling in winter.
Beauty Don't #4:
Applying too much makeup Before piling on all the makeup, take a moment to see what's necessary. "It shouldn't scream 'makeup,'" says Paula Dorf. "Your natural beauty should really show through."Dany Sanz, creator of Make Up For Ever, adds, "[People] buy a lot of products, they use a lot of colour, but they don't really check, 'what I need exactly.'" In fact, if you're healthy and well-rested, you may not need much makeup. If you do, use a light touch. Says Sanz, "With two or three products you can do a lot."
Beauty Don't #5:
Breaking from the rules Makeup artist Vincent Longo says the easiest way to avoid using too much is to follow this simple routine: foundation, concealer, powder, eyes, mouth and cheeks.Start with foundation and then step back and take a look at yourself in the mirror. "If you need a little concealer, you dab exactly in the spot that you need the concealer. Blend that with the foundation, and then go ahead and powder," he says. After doing your eyes and mouth, look in the mirror again, "and chances are you don't need a lot of blush."

Winter Versus Summer Skin Care

winter-skin-care
Just as your body needs different clothing to protect it against the changing weather, your skin needs a different skin care regime to properly protect it from the elements. As the body's largest organ, skin is far more delicate than you probably realise. Here is a closer look at how winter versus summer affects skin and it's care.

Why Is Skin Care Different In Winter Than In Summer Months?

Winter months generally are colder and drier than summer months when heat and humidity levels are on the rise. When skin is exposed to the harsh winter weather, it takes a beating, becoming excessively dry, irritated and chapped. Clothing protects most skin but we often fail to protect our faces. Moving indoors isn't any better. Constantly running heaters and dehumidifiers sap every bit of moisture from the air.
During the summer, temperatures warm and more skin becomes exposed to the elements. Higher temperatures and humidity levels increase the amount of sweat the body produces in an attempt to cool off. As an unintentional consequence, skin becomes oilier and more prone to pimples and other irritation. Swimming is a great way to cool off however exposure to harsh pool chemicals and salt water can lead to excessive dryness.

Tips For Protecting Skin During The Winter Months

Apply sunscreen regularly because you're just as likely to sunburn in the winter as you are in summer. Apply a sunscreen, moisturiser or make-up with a minimum SPF of 15. Be sure to protect lips by wearing lipstick or lip balm with sun protection. Stop licking lips!
Moisturise. Add moisture to inside air by turning on a humidifier. If you don't have one, place a pan of water near a radiator or heat source. Plants help moisturise the air. Add moisture to your body by using emollient-based soaps, lotions and creams.
Take shorter, warmer showers and baths. Hot water strips away natural oils as does staying submerged in water. Adding moisturisers to bath water helps but take care when exiting as the tub will be slippery.
Reduce the number of times you apply toner after cleansing and use toners with no or low alcohol levels. Gently exfoliate using a washcloth or scrub to remove dead skin cells and stimulate skin.

Tips For Protecting Skin During Summer Months

Always protect your skin from the effects of ultraviolet radiation by applying sunscreen, wearing sun protective clothing and seeking shade whenever possible. Stay out of the sun when it's strongest, between 10:00 am and 3:00 pm.
Excessive sweat and oils clog pores so use a cooling cleanser containing salicylic acid to keep skin blemishes under control. Cleansers made with eucalyptus or menthol extracts feel good and help keep pores clean and open.
Change your moisturising products because skin doesn't need as much moisturising protection during summer as it does during winter.

Always rinse your body with cool water after swimming to remove chlorine and salt.
A facial mask applied once a week will deep-clean pores and help skin retain it's natural pH balance. Use a mister to keep skin cool and moist.

Treat the acne skin in the winter weather

Author: Cactuslover

Wintertime can be hard on the skin. Cold weather, wind, and dry indoor air can suck moisture from your skin. The winter environment causes dead skin cells, which in turn can clog pores and worsen acne. Many people think that only excess oil production can contribute clogged pores, but dead skin cells can clog pores in the same way oil does.
What can you do to help keep your skin hydrated throughout the winter months, while still getting the most from your acne treatment routine?1. Consider Your Cleanser
While it may have been a great choice during the summer months, your cleanser may not be working for you now that the cold weather has set in. If you feel tight and dry after cleansing, you probably need to switch to a milder cleanser.
Cleansers containing salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide can be particularly drying, especially if you are using them in conjunction with other acne treatment products. Instead, try using a gentle foaming cleanser or bar. You can always go back to an acne-fighting cleanser once the weather warms and your skin doesn't feel as dry.2. Don't Be Afraid to Moisturize
Regular use of a moisturizer is important, even for those with acne. Remember, nearly all acne treatment products dry the skin to some extent. To avoid flaking and peeling skin, moisturizer is a must.
But you can choose a moisturizing gel or lotion. They are lighter than products labeled moisturizing cream. Whatever moisturizer you choose, be sure it is marked noncomedogenic. Noncomedogenic products are less likely to cause pore blockages.
Consider abandoning your toner this winter. A toner may cause additional dryness in colder months. Try using toner only on extreme problem areas (like the T-zone), or switching to natural witch hazel pads instead.3. Drink plenty of water
When it's frosty outside, sometimes the last thing you feel like drinking is a big glass of water. But getting plenty of water during the wintertime is just as important as it is during warm weather. Dehydrated skin is more likely to feel tight and dry.
Try to get the recommended eight (eight ounce) glasses of water each day, to help keep your skin hydrated. When water doesn't sound appealing, try warm decaffeinated tea instead.
4. If Needed, Scale Back on Topical Medications
If your skin is feeling very dry and you have uncomfortable peeling and flaking, you may want to scale back use of your acne fighting creams and ointments. Try using your treatment products every other day until the dryness and flaking lessens
Of course, never change usage of your prescription medications without first talking to your doctor.

Past the early years, the pores dilate, the skin texture becomes irregular, dark circles appear oval face relaxes. Wrinkles settle. Yet in this struggle against the ravages of time, you have a role to play.

The key to beautiful skin therefore requires hydration. An issue that laboratories have understood, and that translates into active ultra-efficient embedded moisturizing formulas. An example? The famous hyaluronic acid, touted in all advertisements, sets up to 1000 times its weight in water, functioning as a true micro-sponge.
However, be honest: there is no point investing in a care at the forefront of performance if you apply it to hurry. No cream without first spent a cleanser. While in the late afternoon, makeup and impurities remain, wake up, they are dead cells that clog pores. Evacuate them to facilitate the transit of assets to the heart cells.
In the field of cosmetics, consistency is key: you must repeat the application of a cream morning and evening to observe the results. The key lies in choosing care. Because a rich formula, designed for dry skin, but applied to oily skin can cause pimples, it is crucial to determine your skin type (mentioned on the packaging for each treatment):
- Dehydrated to dry: the touch is rough, you are disturbed by sensations of tightness. The thickness of your skin is thinner and it may undergo more rapid signs of aging.
- Normal or mixed chin, nose and forehead tend to be fatter while the rest of the face skin is dry.
- Oily Skin: Your main problem is the abundant secretion of sebum. Your skin glows and regularly blemishes (blackheads, pimples, cysts).
